CARNAVAL DRUMMING began its life in Perth with
Paul Barrett Directing the Famous FREO SAMBA troupe
for 7 years ( Freo Samba has since reformed and now
call themselves WA SAMBA ) and travelled to the east
cost in 2003. Festivals, workshops and community
team building projects (via the Curry Boyz, Freo
Samba and currently The Samba-Blisstas) have
enlightened and thrilled people of all ages in such
diverse locations as Abrolhos Islands, Exmouth,
Kalgoorlie, Bunbury, Mandurah, Shark Bay, Broome,
(Shinju Matsuri Festival 1997) Sydney Centenary of
Federation Parade, Busselton, Albany, Wogarno
Station (Mt. Magnet), Bandyup Womens Prison,
Merriden, Geraldton, Nungarin,Casino, Nimbin,
Woolgoolga, .......................etc
